Azorra Aviation Holdings, LLC (“Azorra”) today announced that Fitch Ratings (“Fitch”) upgraded Azorra’s Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (“IDR”) to ‘BB’ with a Stable Outlook from ‘BB-’ with a Positive Outlook. Fitch also upgraded Azorra Finance Limited’s senior unsecured debt rating to ‘BB’ from ‘BB-’, and Azorra SOAR TLB Finance Limited’s secured long-term debt rating to ‘BB+’ from ‘BB’.
The upgrade reflects Azorra’s position as a leading lessor focused of small narrowbody aircraft, and its enhanced scale following the acquisition of 49 aircraft and two engines from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (“DAE”), as well as the increase in the proportion of unsecured debt on its balance sheet.
In addition, Fitch noted Azorra’s strong strategic execution, highlighting the company’s consistent delivery on its business plan and maintenance of key financial metrics aligned with the upgraded rating.
Alan Stanford, Chief Financial Officer, said: “We are pleased that Fitch has recognized the continued strengthening of Azorra’s credit profile. This upgrade reflects our disciplined approach to growth, prudent balance sheet management, and focus on diversifying our funding sources as we scale our platform.”
Claudia Ziemer, Senior Vice President – Finance and Treasurer, added: “We remain focused on executing our financing strategy: building a high-performing aircraft leasing business supported by thoughtful capital allocation, strong liquidity management and a flexible funding model. As Azorra continues to scale, the Fitch upgrade will support our position in the small narrowbody aircraft leasing segment and the execution of our long-term growth.”
