Data We Collect

Sensitive Information Disclosures.
We may collect the following categories of sensitive personal data (as defined under relevant laws) when you apply for a job with us: social security number (or national equivalent), driver’s license number, state identification card, or passport number; racial or ethnic origin, religious, or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; and information concerning health. We collect this data for many reasons, including: to manage our business, process your application; determine your eligibility for employment; conduct background checks (where permitted by applicable law); comply with applicable laws and regulations; verify customer information; and exercise or defend the legal rights of Azorra and its employees and affiliates, customers, contractors, and agents. Note that we do not use such data for any purposes that are not identified within Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121. 

We do not “sell” or “share” sensitive personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, although we may transfer it to third parties when you instruct us to do so. When that occurs, third parties will use it for the purposes indicated in their privacy notices.

If you are in Canada, our lawful basis for processing your data is generally consent.

We collect the name and contact information of our customers and their employees with whom we may interact. 

We have a legitimate interest in contacting our customers and communicating with them about business activities such as projects, services, and billing.

We have a legitimate interest in receiving and acting upon feedback.

Job Applicants

If you apply for a job or provide us with your personal information for purposes of employment, we collect information needed to process your application. This may include your government identification information (e.g. social security number or equivalent), contact information, citizenship information, demographic information (e.g. age), health information about your ability to perform a job with or without accommodation, and any information on your resume. Providing this information is required for employment.

Under some laws, we are required to collect and report certain demographic workforce data to federal, state
and/or local government agencies for civil rights enforcement purposes. This could include date of birth
and gender as well as more sensitive personal information including information relating to racial and ethnic origin, religious, political, or philosophical beliefs, and trade union membership. We may also ask you to voluntarily self-identify whether you belong to additional protected classes (disability status, sexual orientation, veteran status, etc).

In some contexts, we are required by law to collect data about applicants. We also have a legitimate interest in using data to evaluate your application or consider you for other positions. If you become an employee, we may provide you with a separate privacy notice that explains how we collect, use, and share additional data about our employees.

Know Your Customer (KYC)
Due Diligence

We collect personal information about our vendors, customers, trading partners and job applicants to conduct Know-Your-Customer due diligence screenings. 

This screening includes, but is not limited to, your: identifiers, citizenship, government issued identification, and other personal data. 

In some contexts, we are required by law to perform Know-Your-Customer due diligence measures to, among other things, identify if we are restricted in our dealings with certain individuals.

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this Notice we may share personal data in the following situations:

We will require you to prove your identity when making most types of requests. We may verify your identity by email. In some cases we may ask you to send us a signed declaration confirming your identity.

In some circumstances, you may designate an authorized agent to exercise rights on your behalf. If you are an authorized agent, you must send us a copy of a completed Authorized Agent Designation Form to email address: DSR@azorra.com,  which shows that you may act on another’s behalf.

Your Choices

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure. While we use reasonable efforts to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee its security. If we are required to inform you about a security incident, we will do so electronically, in writing, or by phone, as the law permits.

We keep your personal data for only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes in this Notice unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. This includes the purposes of satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data. We also weigh the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the data, the purposes for which we obtained the data and whether we can meet those purposes through other means, as well as applicable legal requirements.

How We Protect and Retain DatA

As a multi-national company, we send data between and among our affiliates. As a result, we may process your data in a country with less stringent privacy laws than the laws in the country that you reside. Where possible, we treat personal data using the same privacy principles that guide the law of the country in which we first receive your data. By submitting your personal data to us you agree to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in a country other than your country of residence including, but not limited to, the United States. Third-Party Applications/Websites

Our websites and online services are not meant for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under age 16 without parental consent. Children under 13 should not give us their personal data.
