Assistant Vice President – Engine Management – Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President – Engine Management and working closely with all departments, the Assistant Vice President – Engine Management will be based in the Dublin office and play an important role in the technical team.
- Assisting the VP-Engine Management in the day-to-day operations of the Engine Management department within Azorra.
- In coordination with the VP-Engine Management, assisting in making technical recommendations and supervisory decisions with respect to the oversight of aircraft engines and Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and their respective systems, across the company’s owned and managed fleet, including installed, standalone leased engines and engines enrolled under Fleet Management Programmes.
- This role involves, but is not limited to, reviewing lease contracts at both the airframe and standalone engine level; maintaining a comprehensive overview of all company-owned and managed engines and their associated installed QECs; and managing shop visits with an emphasis on monitoring projected final costs against agreed budgets and shop turnaround times. In addition, coordinating with the Commercial department on engine swaps for shop visit avoidance and the allocation of replacement engine commitments.
- Assisting in the management of engine/APU data within LeaseWorks, including the creation of events and associated engine/APU claims for reimbursement of qualifying events. This includes maintaining an up-to-date maintenance “fly-forward” with estimated removal schedules for engines/APUs, with particular emphasis on events linked to reimbursement claims or swap requirements, and providing direct feedback to the Commercial department on upcoming swap needs.
- During on-site duties for aircraft deliveries to lessees and engine shop visits for on-lease aircraft, assisting in managing and negotiating with external maintenance organizations to resolve technical issues relating to engine and APU maintenance within the framework of aircraft and/or engine lease agreements.
- Oversee the performance of the engine and APU MRO network, ensuring delivery against contractual requirements relating to cost, quality, and turnaround time.
- Supervising external consultants working on company projects and providing guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle at various global locations, in addition to performing on-site duties.
- In the absence of the VP-Engine Management, performing all day-to-day functions normally carried out by the VP-Engine Management.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience with an aircraft lessor, airline or manufacturer required.
- Familiar with at least one Lease management program such as Lease works or similar.
- Experience in Aircraft and lease Engine transitions.
- Experience in preparing Engine shop visit workscope and engine lease contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree or similarly accredited further education preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time and project management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels in and outside the organization.
- A team player with strong collaborative skills and desire to work in a dynamic and growing environment.
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English; we are in an international business and languages other than English are a plus.
