Ewen joined Azorra in October 2018 and serves as our Chief Technical Officer, with responsibility for all technical matters including drafting and negotiating lease and purchase agreements as well as maintenance contracts.
Previously, Ewen led the technical transaction team covering the Americas and oversaw all new deliveries of Embraer E-Jet at a major regional aircraft lessor. Ewen has held various senior management and technical consulting roles involving heavy aircraft maintenance and fleet transition projects at US airlines. He additionally served as SVP of Technical Operations at Jetscape Aviation Group for 12 years.
Ewen served a military apprenticeship in the Royal Air Force, holds FAA airframe and power plant licenses, and was a member of the General Work Group/Industry Steering group for the Embraer E-Jet Maintenance Board (MRB).

Emmet joined Azorra in September 2022 and serves as our Vice President – Technical.
Emmet has been in Aviation for over 32 years and has held various managerial positions within the aircraft maintenance industry including MRO’s, Airlines, VIP Operations and EASA CAMO organizations. Prior to joining Azorra, Emmet was Vice President Engineering at a major regional aircraft lessor for 6 Years with responsibilities in lease transitions focusing on major modifications and cabin reconfigurations.
Emmet started his Aviation Career at Shannon Aerospace in 1990 and qualified on his first A/C type in 1992, the MD-80/DC-9, and is going strong.

John joined Azorra in June 2024 and serves as Technical Manager.
Prior to joining Azorra, John was a Technical Records Analyst at FTAI Aviation where he initially supported the records review for engine redelivery. He then moved on to managing the engines acquisition records reviews and the quality assurance of the technical data in NAV (Dynamic 365).
John began his career in aviation at Jetscape Aviation Group in 2014 as an Intern. Following his internship, John joined Jetscape full-time as a Technical Operations Administrator, where he was responsible for Parts Inventory, Records Management and Technical Specifications of the entire fleet. In 2016, Jetscape Aviation Group was acquired by Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), where he continued managing the Technical Specification for the combined NAC, Aldus Aviation and Jetscape fleet. John also supported the Mid-lease Physical inspections during this time.
John holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ateneo de Naga University in the Philippines where he majored in Marketing Management and a Level 7 Certificate for Aircraft Records from Limerick Institute of Technology.

Douglas joined Azorra in September 2021 and serves as our Assistant Vice President – Technical.
Prior to joining Azorra, Douglas held various positions within the aviation support industry including airline accounts manager, quality control manager, and logistics coordinator for several major South Florida aviation logistics companies. Douglas was responsible for the successful transition and implementation of ISO 9001:2015 and FAA 00-56 standards within these companies, culminating in multiple satisfactory regulating authority audits. Douglas also oversaw the implementation of software and analytics for accurate airline requirements forecasting.
Douglas holds an Airframe and Powerplant technical certification from Broward College.

DOUGLAS MATHIESON
Scott joined Azorra in September 2022 and serves as our Vice President – Technical.
Prior to joining Azorra, Scott served as Vice President of Engine Management at Nordic Aviation Capital, where he managed all engine and APU types within the portfolio of Turbo Prop and E-Jet assets, both on and off lease. Scott joined Nordic Aviation capital in 2016 following the acquisition of Jetscape Aviation Group where Scott was an integral member of the Jetscape technical team.
Scott has held various engineering and management positions at MTU, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Rolls Royce. Scott served an engineering apprenticeship at Rolls Royce East Kilbride, completed a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and was awarded the Lord Hives Award for best engineering apprentice.

Rory joined Azorra in October 2025 and serves as our Assistant Vice President – Engine Management.
Rory brings years of experience from previous roles in Engine Operations at Nordic Aviation Capital, where his responsibilities covered all engine-related matters.

Boris joined Azorra in January 2024 and serves as our Vice President - Technical.
Boris has over 30 years of experience in aircraft leasing and manufacturing. Prior to joining Azorra, Boris served as Senior Vice President - Technical at Voyager Aviation Holdings providing technical oversight of the Voyager aircraft fleet.
Boris started his career at The Boeing Company and expanded his skillset with roles in engineering, customer support, project management, and sales of aftermarket products and services. In 2018, Boris joined the Boeing Capital Corporation as a Portfolio Marketing Director focusing on Asset Management. He then joined AerSale in 2020 as SVP of Technical Services with responsibility including the sales, marketing, and product delivery of in-house developed Engineered Solutions.
Boris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University.

Sinead joined Azorra in April 2024 and serves as Assistant Vice President - Technical.
Prior to joining Azorra, Sinead was Assistant Vice President of Technical Asset Management at Zephyrus Aviation Capital where she managed the technical operational aspects of the fleet including technical records, annual inspections, reports, and claims.
Sinead began her career in aviation at Jetscape Aviation Group in 2003 where she served as Technical Operations Manager. In 2016, Jetscape Aviation Group was acquired by Nordic Aviation Capital, where Sinead went on to serve as Assistant Vice President of Technical Data Management introducing quality assurance procedures and audits to ensure integrity across the fleet’s records and data management.
Sinead holds an Associate Degree in Business from Broward College and Level 7 Certificates in Aircraft Leasing, Aircraft Technical Records and Continued Airworthiness Management from Limerick IT.

SINEAD THEISEN
Kyle joined Azorra in March 2025 as Vice President - Technical.
Kyle has over 27 years of project and asset management experience. Prior to joining Azorra, Kyle served as Vice President – Technical with Zephyrus Aviation Capital, where he helped manage their portfolio in the Americas and Asia and supported Europe in lease negotiations, LOIs, and GTAs. Kyle was also responsible for aircraft transition management, acquisition, and part out.
During his aviation career, Kyle has supported numerous lessors as a technical consultant, managing heavy maintenance projects and lease transitions worldwide. Kyle started his career working in the MRO sector as a team leader and supervisor before moving into the leasing community.
Kyle holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences and an FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
