Damon joined Azorra in December 2024 and serves as our Chief Business Officer.
Damon started his career with the AMR Corporation in the early 1990s and has over 30 years of experience in commercial aircraft leasing and finance. Before Azorra, he was the Co-founder, President, and CEO of Zephyrus Aviation Capital.
Before launching the Zephyrus platform, Damon was the Chief Commercial Officer for CIT Aerospace, Inc. In that role, he was responsible for Sales and Marketing, OEM relationships, Portfolio Management, New Aircraft Configurations, Contracts, and Asset Strategy with an aircraft portfolio that exceeded eleven billion dollars.
Damon has a personal transaction record that includes purchasing over $20 billion worth of new aircraft and engines, selling, leasing, and financing over 200 aircraft, and having leadership responsibility for transactions involving more than 1,000 aircraft to date.
One of Damon’s passions is giving back to the industry he loves. With that mindset, he has been a previous board member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) and has served as a trustee, Vice-Chairman, and Chairman of the ISTAT Foundation. He also serves on several nonprofit and education boards and is a frequent lecturer in university classrooms. Recently, he co-authored the textbook Aircraft Leasing and Financing: Tools for Success in International Aircraft Acquisition and Management.

Rita joined Azorra in February 2026 and serves as our Project Manager – IT Operations.
Rita brings nearly ten years of experience in IT and systems-related projects within the aviation leasing sector, working across leasing, finance, and operations. Prior to joining Azorra, Rita held numerous roles across contract management and delivery teams at GTLK, before taking a leading role in strengthening IT alignment and driving the transition towards automation and cloud-based technologies.
Earlier in her career, Rita worked in conference management, where she combined operational coordination with responsibility for event systems and supporting technologies.

Sarah joined Azorra in January 2024 and serves as our Office Manager and Human Resources Administration.
Prior to joining Azorra, Sarah served as Office Manager & Accounts Payable Analyst at Voyager Aviation Holdings. Prior to working at Voyager Aviation Holdings, Sarah worked in the hospitality industry for over 12 years.
Sarah holds a degree in Multimedia from DCU, a degree in Digital Marketing from DBS, and a certificate in HR management from TUS.

Eliane joined Azorra in January 2023 and serves as our Vice President – Business Aviation.
Prior to joining Azorra, Eliane served as the Director of Sales & Business Development for F/LIST USA, an aircraft interiors company. Eliane joined F/LIST in 2018 and her primary responsibility was to open their 9th subsidiary in Fort Lauderdale and build up the business in the US.
Previously, Eliane served as a Customer Account Manager for Bombardier’s Commercial Aircrafts in the Africa and Middle East Region. Eliane worked very closely with the Sales and Marketing team in order to support current customers as well as potential new customer. Additionally, Eliane took part of the development of the A220 and, as part of the team, successfully brought the aircraft from its first flight to entry into service.
Eliane began her career as an intern for Pratt and Whitney Canada and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.

Susan joined Azorra in December 2024 and serves as our Chief Operating Officer.
Susan has over 30 years of experience in commercial aircraft leasing, and prior to Azorra, served as the Chief Operating Officer at Zephyrus Aviation Capital where she directed all aspects of legal, compliance, insurance, IT, systems, facilities, and administration operations.
Susan’s aviation career began at International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), where she advanced from finance to contract management, and subsequently held legal and transaction management roles at Fafinski Mark & Johnson, CIT Aerospace, Avolon and Castlelake.
When not entrenched in all things aviation, Susan can often be found rehearsing or performing as part of a yacht rock cover band in Minneapolis, and at least once a year, with the ISTAT band.

Laura joined Azorra in October 2020 and serves as our Vice President - Human Resources and Administration.
Prior to joining Azorra, Laura held pivotal roles in human resources at aircraft leasing companies including Nordic Aviation Capital, Jetscape Aviation Group, Indigo Aviation AB and Regional One. Laura has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, benefits planning, training, and development.

Sydney Johnston joined Azorra in October 2023 and serves as our Manager - Marketing & Events.
Prior to joining Azorra, Sydney was a Marketing Intern at Breeze Airways, where she managed the company’s social media platforms, coordinated social and business events for airports and partners, and worked closely with the Guest Empowerment Team to improve customer experience.
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Utah Valley University. Sydney is currently a student pilot seeking to obtain a Private Pilot’s License.

Sam joined Azorra in October 2025 and serves as our Analyst – Data Science & Analytics, after completing a summer internship.
Prior to joining Azorra, Sam gained hands-on experience at Primo Water, where he applied analytics to identify customer trends and support data-driven strategies.
Sam graduated from Wake Forest University with a Master’s Degree in Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, building a strong foundation in data science, statistical modeling, and data visualization.

Sam Liu
Ewen joined Azorra in October 2018 and serves as our Chief Technical Officer, with responsibility for all technical matters including drafting and negotiating lease and purchase agreements as well as maintenance contracts.
Previously, Ewen led the technical transaction team covering the Americas and oversaw all new deliveries of Embraer E-Jet at a major regional aircraft lessor. Ewen has held various senior management and technical consulting roles involving heavy aircraft maintenance and fleet transition projects at US airlines. He additionally served as SVP of Technical Operations at Jetscape Aviation Group for 12 years.
Ewen served a military apprenticeship in the Royal Air Force, holds FAA airframe and power plant licenses, and was a member of the General Work Group/Industry Steering group for the Embraer E-Jet Maintenance Board (MRB).

Jane joined Azorra in January 2024 and serves as our Vice President – Operations & Systems.
Jane has 20 years of experience in finance and the aircraft leasing business, starting her career with Pembroke Aviation in 2004. Standard Chartered Bank acquired Pembroke Capital Limited in 2007. During her tenure with Pembroke/Standard Chartered, Jane led and managed finance transformation projects.
Prior to joining Azorra, Jane served as the Head of Accounting and Operations of the Irish team and the General Manager of the Dublin office at Voyager Aviation Holdings. Before joining Voyager Aviation Holdings, Jane led several aviation leasing projects as a principal consultant and finance lead, supporting a start-up leasing platform.
Jane's other experiences include serving as CFO and Finance Lead at GTLK Europe, helping the company to build and manage a fleet of 50+ aircraft and marine vessels.
Jane is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (AICPA&CIMA/CGMA) and holds an engineering degree and a Master's in IT.
