Azorra closes on Brazilian bank BNDES financing of $450 million

Azorra has closed a US$450 million financing facility with Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES). After securing an initial $150 million facility obtained in December 2023, the lessor today closed on the remaining facility of $300 million.  

The facility provided debt financing for Azorra’s Embraer E2 orderbook and is available to finance up to 15 aircraft. Azorra has already financed new aircraft deliveries to Royal Jordanian, Azul, and Scoot. 

Claudia Ziemer, Azorra’s SVP of Finance, says “The financial backing of BNDES has been instrumental as we support airlines globally with their fleet modernization efforts. Our second tranche of $300 million in financing will help us continue this momentum and expand our footprint.”
